Just a reminder: this level of interference by the executive branch with the judiciary is not normal, and, in general, violates separation of powers. In a democracy, judicial independence is paramount.
And remember, one of – if not THE – deepest and longest held commitment of freedom in this country is to freedom of religion. Singling out majority Muslim countries where we have directly interfered but who have done us little or no direct harm, is the very definition of bigotry and lack of fair play.
Besides, you never know who a Muslim might be. He might very well be the farmer next door . . .
